So I'm just going to package you know to package it as a full course okay so ladies and gentlemen let's now move to i think this should be our last question. They say both drivers are wearing identical seat belts which driver is likely to be more severely injured on impact explain the answer by referring a to the acceleration and velocity okay ladies and gentlemen so you can easily notice where a you know you're going to score your marks so obviously you've got three things to comment on both drivers are wearing identical seat belts which driver is likely to be more severely injured on impact? We're going to score a mark for answering that explain the answer by referring to the acceleration and velocity so by commenting on the acceleration ladies and gentlemen.
You're going to score a mark ladies and gentlemen by commenting on the velocity you're going to score a mark okay so let's now try to comment on both ladies and gentlemen remember guys a remember this is question 4.4.3 okay acceleration guys acceleration is directly proportional a you know to the change in velocity you should know this information guys and again acceleration it's inversely proportional to the mass. In terms of direct and inverse it means in terms of the inverse if the acceleration is increasing. You know it's vice versa when you compare it with the mass or let me say a you know if the mass is small this becomes less okay otherwise uh if the acceleration is more that means the velocity it's more so I'm just trying to explain to you ladies and gentlemen what is meant by direct proportions.
Okay so obviously that means um you know if uh let's say if you add more wood to a you know the fire then you increase the heat so the quantity of wood added to the fire or charcoal added to the fire that quantity is directly proportional to it I'm not sure if it makes sense guys I try to think of something which could be easy to understand okay so it's more like the more you add water into a packet the more you increase its weight okay so that means the volume or maybe the liters of water added is directly proportional to the weight of a you know the packet whatever so ladies and gentlemen that's what I'm trying to say in terms of a you know direct proportion as the other one increase the other one will also increase in this proportions as the other one increase the other one decreases okay so guys let's now uh start to answer our question okay so between these two ladies and gentlemen between these two which one is a you know most likely to be more severely injured on impact obviously the car ladies and gentlemen obviously they can't so you can just say the car driver in this case the car driver it's most likely to be a you know severely injured when you compare with the car driver.
Okay very much important ladies
and gentlemen why is because the calm has got a you know greater acceleration
okay so can you see a the car has got greater acceleration so that means a you
know injuries come as a result of greater acceleration what does it mean when
we've got a greater acceleration ladies and gentlemen because acceleration is
directly proportional to the velocity then it means you have great time a
change in velocity feel low city okay very much important listen the reason why
we mention these two is because they said in terms of a you know acceleration
and velocity so we need to provide our answers by commenting on the
acceleration and the velocity when comparing these two.
Obviously ladies and gentlemen the car driver is most likely to be a you know it's most likely to be a severely injured when compared to the track driver okay remember guys if m is direct I mean it's inversely proportional to um it's inversely proportional to the acceleration so obviously this is 1m this is 2 m. Okay so now you've got 2m it makes it a less of acceleration okay you've got you've got 1m so it makes it a more acceleration when you compare these two okay very much important ladies and gentlemen so that means because the car has got more acceleration it means it has more change in velocity okay so guys as I've said you will only have a better understanding of this the moment I do those lessons okay so ladies and gentlemen um you know this is how you solve for this question and to score yourself um some what is it you score yourself some three marks for the last question so I think ladies and gentlemen
we can just I think we can just leave
it here and then from there we'll proceed with that question that I indicated
on a separate video of which I assume I'm going to do that video tomorrow
ladies and gentlemen. But I hope you fully understood exactly what I explained
over there I've done some more, videos in relation to momentum so you can just
go to my YouTube channel under playlist a physical sciences. That's where
you'll find those videos ladies and gentlemen thanks very much for joining and
I hope you enjoyed as much as I did please make sure to like this video if you
feel like it's going to help you know to approach those exam questions and most
importantly please do comment on the comment section just to give me a feedback
and again if it's something that you didn't understand you can just send me a
Whatsapp a voice note then I'll surely be able to assist as soon as possible
before you write your exams ladies and gentlemen thanks very much my name is
Desmond and I'm out
