Long one positive a shorter negative so current flows from positive all the way up to the negative side okay. So that means this is the direction of the current so that means the current will flow from a battery from the positive side all the way up to the negative side okay so guys the other thing that i want to talk about it's the voltmeter and the ammeter. So those are the devices. A voltmeter is used to measure the voltage so in this case they've connected a voltmeter across the battery okay. So we've got voltage, we've got volt meter okay so you know the reading okay.
You might have heard of a water meter which is you know the volume of water passing through a point okay so now secondly you've got what we call a voltmeter and ammeter okay. So the ammeter reads the current and the voltmeter reads the voltage, okay so don't be confused guys when you see a circle with a V just know that this thing is a meter okay. Which reads voltage when you see a circle with A this is an ammeter which is the current okay.
That means on this circuit we've got three meters, we've got the voltmeter we've got the ammeter so now because we've got two ammeters they are now referred to as A1 and A2 so that means A1 which is emitter one it reads the current passing there okay and A2 it reads the current passing there okay. So guys the other thing that I want you to notice I'm not sure if you already noticed what I want to talk about but if we can have, if we can have a look at this circuit you will realize that we've got two types of connections.
