Remember from time to time you might find that the information that we get as we calculate I might just write it there instead of having to write it on my screen because I'll be scrolling up and down. So guys, again we've got a mini statement there which says with switch closed the current passing through the 8 ohms resistor is 0.5 amperes. Okay so guys as I've indicated let's just quickly try to analyze that circuit okay.
Let me talk about the battery okay, so we've got two cells as you can see there ladies and gentlemen, a battery is the combination of two or more cells. Okay so when you've got this long line and a smaller line just know this is one cell okay and combined with a long line and a smaller line then you know you've got two cells okay. So the combination of two cells or more it's what we call a battery I hope you understand that part.
Right, so now ladies and gentlemen within a battery okay within a battery you might have an internal resistance, so that means let's say for instance the power of each cell was 1.5 volts 1.5 volts, now because we talk of a battery which is the combination of those two cells that means you've got one plus one plus half and a half which is equals to three volts. Okay so that means the combination of those two cells which forms a battery has a three volts okay.
